Fairytales are not just for children, if they ever were. As children they are our first introduction to fear, drama, love, light and darkness. As a child I remember owning a copy of Aesop’s Fables and drawing my own sketches of scenes as I imagined them. Many of these characters appear over and over in in modern story telling because there is something about their narrative, their predicament which is familiar to the souls of us all.
